Products > Engine Crankcases > Racing 4-Cam Racing Crankcases![]() Technical Specs The DR-2 utilizes a dry sump oiling system with the scraper at the bottom and uses the very efficient Harley-Davidson® Sportster® (1986 – 1990) gerotor type oil pump for superior oil pressure and scavenging. The DR-2 also has the vastly superior Harley-Davidson® Sportster® engine valve train geometry while retaining the strength of the Big Twin flywheel assembly. Camshaft locations are on the same centerline as the stock Harley-Davidson® Evolution® Sportster® (1986 – 1990), but moved away from the flywheel assembly, allowing use of the wide variety of cam sets available for these models. Options offered are cylinder bore up to 4.5", cylinder deck height of up to 2" higher than stock, cylinder base bolt pattern, and a fuel pump boss on the timing cover. The pinion shaft is supplied with the case. The DR-2S Street Version has all the features of the DR-2 along with a cutout for an alternator and Evo Sportster style lifter blocks. Crankshaft assemblies can be purchased from S&S Cycles in Viola, Wisconsin or Truett & Osborne in Wichita, Kansas. For further information about big bore cylinders and pistons for these cases, contact Mr. Ron Dickey at Axtell Sales in Des Moines, Iowa. A parts list for the lower-end will be provided upon receipt of deposit for easy reference. Each Racing Crankcase is a custom order item. Due to customization this product is not available for online purchase.
